Little Church
Do you want to grow in your relationship with God and connect with others? If so, we would encourage you to get involved in a Little Church!
At Berwick Vineyard Church, we call our small groups that meet regularly throughout the week in someone's home, "Little Churches".
The idea is that eveything that church is, a Little Church is on a smaller, more intimate scale. It's about:
- responding to the Great Commands and Great Commission;
- spending time in praise and worship, enjoying God's presence;
- learning from God's word and applying it to our lives with the help of the Holy Spirit;
- developing our spiritual gifts in a safe and supportive environment;
- caring and praying for each other's needs as well as those around us.
It is our desire and expectation that everyone at Berwick Vineyard Church will find a place of connection and be actively involved in a Little Church. These groups provide a personal and commited setting where people can learn and grow together and provide care and prayer support for each other. Being a member of a Little Church is an excellent way to connect with other Christians at a deeper level and forms part of our overall pastoral care.
Through the Little Church groups we are looking to see people reached, released and resourced to become all God intends them to be. In particular, we hope to see each person develop and use their spiritual gifts and to reach out to others with the love of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Currently we have eight Little Church groups meeting in various homes throughout the City of Casey and the Shire of Cardinia. They meet on varying days and times throughout the week. Each group is sensitively led by an appointed Little Church leader and has its own distinct flavour or focus.
