Youth Ministry

Our children and youth are a valued part of our church and have a significant part to play in all that the Lord is releasing to and through us.

As with the Children's Ministry, we are working towards seeing our youth released into all that God has called them to be and do. We firmly believe that they can experience that as a present reality - not needing to wait until they are older.

Sunday Services

We encourage our secondary school aged youth and young adults to be part of our Sunday morning services. We endeavour to make the teaching accessible and appropriate for youth as well as adults. There are also opportunities for training and serving in all other ministry areas each week.

We have a fortnightly Sunday evening service which is geared especially towards youth and young adults, though all ages are welcome.

Way Of The Warrior / Harp & Bowl

We also run "The Way of the Warrior / Harp & Bowl" training on Sunday afternoons, on the alternate weeks to our evening services. The original "Way of the Warrior" training series was based on the teaching of Graham Cooke. The aim of this gathering is to equip people to take ground for the Kingdom, confident in their identity and calling. This training has developed further to our "Harp & Bowl" (Rev 5:8) sessions, which seek to put this teaching into action through worship (the harp) and intercession (the offering bowl).

Kingdom School

On the evening of the third Sunday of each month our teens and young adults meet to receive specific discipleship training.  These studies are led in an informal, intimate manner in the home of our Youth Ministry area leader.

Choc 'n' Chat

Who doesn't like chocolate or a good chat?  Our young people certainly do!  This group meets in a home environment on the first Thursday night of each month to share the journey, encourage and pray for each other - all over coffee, chocolate and other goodies. This is a wonderful opportunity for our teens to connect and develop Godly relationships.

Loud & Raw

Many of our youth also participate in a group known as "Loud & Raw" which brings together the creative arts of music (in the style of African drumming) and craft (specifically hand made jewellry).  The Loud & Raw group hold a stall at various local craft markets from time to time, where they are able to connect with the wider community, develop and offer up their creative gifts, while at the same time raising funds for various local and international missions.

Treasure Hunts

Our senior teens and young adults excitedly participate in monthly "Treasure Hunts" in various locations throughout the city of Casey.  These young people earnestly wait upon the Lord for revelatory "clues" as to who He wants them to "find" and make contact with.  This wilingness to be bold and obedient to the Lord's promptings have resulted in people being ministered to in very specific ways and thereby receiving a taste of the goodness of His kingdom.

Relationship Building

With a view to giving opportunity to establish good and Godly relationships and develop a sense of belonging, the youth ministry also coordinate various social activities from time to time, throughout the year, particularly during school holiday periods.

In addition to these events, our young people are encouraged to engage in various Christian conferences, events and concerts which may support the teaching, training and equipping already provided each week.  Some of these have included Jesus Culture concerts, Soul Survivor and More conferences.
